Project description

The overall goal is to prepare the industry for the upcoming End of Life (EoL) phase of offshore wind farms, based on the analysis of full life cycle impacts, taking into account the three sustainability pillars (economic, environmental and social). This also leads to the identification of necessary technology that is currently missing. The impact analysis can address both existing (ex-post analysis) and future technologies (ex-ante analysis). This addresses not only the EoL challenge but also the improvement of the sustainability of offshore wind energy throughout its entire life cycle.
