Project description

we aim to identify novel conserved regulators involved in the jasmonate signalling cascades that steer triterpene saponin synthesis in legume plant species. Through mining of available transcriptome data from 3 legume species we have listed 12 candidate regulators with conserved sequences and expression patterns that will be functionally charcterised in medicago truncatula as a model system.
