We investigate the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and multinationals’ tax behavior. We analyze the impact of institutions in this association in an international setting. We analyze the impact of tax transparency regulations on European multinational banks’ CSR. And finally, we study the legitimation strategies of large energy European corporations in their process of integration of taxes and CSR.
