Current radar systems are generally monostatic. The benefit of a bistatic radar system for monitoring soil moisture and crop characteristics has hardly been explored. This project aims to extend and validate theoretical researches with airborne remote sensing observations complimented with in situ observations and alternative remote sensing observations including satellite radar-based observations (Sentinel-1 and Radarsat).
