Project description
In this project it is proposed to develop and apply an improved monitoring tool for direct observation of the high-temperature austenite microstructure. The tool aims to visualize parent austenite structures by back-calculation of the product structure that was characterized (grain size, shape, orientation, shear bands etc) across the material it is attempted to control the microstructure and hence the properties of the finished product
