Raman microscopy is a powerful analytical technique for identifying molecular components in various materials, such as archaeological objects, works of art, polymers, microplastics and semiconductors. The technique enables both rapid screening and extremely detailed analysis on a micrometer scale, including spatial mapping. This application aims to replace a severely outdated Raman microscope, which plays a key role in numerous research projects. The new equipment will be used for fundamental and applied research and will serve as a catalyst for future collaborations and project applications. This investment will ensure the continuity of current and future research projects and enable the consortium of researchers to remain a leading player in materials research using Raman microscopy.
