Project description
This project revolutionizes photoacoustic medical imaging by replacing conventional, contact-based equipment with an affordable, compact, noncontact solution. Utilizing advancements in silicon photonics-based Laser Doppler Vibrometry (LDV), we will demonstrate an integrated chip and miniature excitation source to generate and detect ultrasound waves in biological tissue, addressing contamination risks and large system size.
