Project description

The research intends to improve the city sound environment at street level, by bridging the gap between city planning and urban noise control measures. It has been shown that street canyon design can strongly impact direct exposure along walkways and facades. Audio-visual interactions are explored and exploited in the urban environment to achieve holistic noise reduction. (56)
