Project description
 

This is a multidisciplinary study of lake sediments along a transect of coastal lakes in South-Central Chile in orde to fully document the latitudinal distribution of past tsunami events. It will provide new insights in the recurrence mode and pattern of megathrust earthquakes and associated tsunamis, and a first estimate of the earthquake hazard along other fault types.
