Increases in the prevalence of childhood obesity throughout Europe have focused attention on the need fro large-scale community based initiatives to tackle the problem. The objective is to foster healthier lifestyles and contribute to the reduction of childhood overweight and obesity through a methodology that establishes prevention at the heart of the city networks.
