Within the research group imec-mict-UGent (Media, Innovation & Contemporary Technologies) we cover a broad diversity of research projects focussing on monitoring trends and shifts in a digitizing society; the unravelling of growing tensions or paradoxes between technology and society; and finally the (co-)development of solutions that empower people in a digitizing society. I would like to invest the ‘basisfinanciering’ primarily to the coordination of alle these projects and the related processes to ensure a smooth working environment.
