Project description

"Scabies has been increasing in all population groups in recent years, particularly among young people. Often, the infection is very persistent, and the first-line treatments seem to be less effective. Clinically, it is often difficult to make a definitive diagnosis. In this project, we aim to conduct a systematic literature review to investigate whether there are any new techniques available for diagnosing scabies, what measures are effective in preventing the spread of scabies, whether there is evidence of resistance to the first-line treatment (permethrin), and what the best approach is for treating scabies in both outpatient settings and in institutional settings such as residential and care centers."
