Project description

On this project, a helium contact gas cryostat with a temprature range from 4 to 500K is purchased. This cryostat will be used to study the different itneractions that can occur between dopant (more specifically broad band emitting rare earth elements such as Eu2+ and Ce3+) and host matrix, among which the thermal quenching behaviour, persistent luminescence, energy transfer between lattice sites, anomalous red-shifted emission, …
