Project description

A new repair technique in the treatment of ruptured tendons in Orthopaedic and Veterinary surgery will be studied through biomechanical testing on both animal and human cadaveric tendons. If successful, we will proceed to a clinical study on sheep as a model for human medicine. Main goals are a better functional outcome, faster rehabilation and a decrease in cost.
