Although empirical and theoretical work has suggestedpositive effects of work experiences on learning outcomes, to date, it remains unclear how this relationship originates. Drawing from research andtheory on knowledge formation, I posit a model, which can answer this need. I aim to investigate the explanatory value of the model by conducting threeseries of studies using the reflection paradigm.
