Thermochemical conversion algae biomass biofuel Cuba
Project description

The scope of this PhD is to develop a research about the thermochemical conversion of algae biomass to produce biofuels and energy in Cuba. The thermochemical conversion will be developed using hydrothermal liquefaction and pyrolysis. The algae biomass and bio-oil will be characterized at UGent; the combustion process, engine performance and emissions will be evaluated in Cuba.
