Project description
Neurodiversity in male authors is regarded as a sign of genius, whereas female counterparts suffer from stigma, diagnoses and institutionalisation. This project aims to analyse neurodiversity and its designations in both modernist and postwar literature as well as ego-documents by German/Austrian female authors, by studying visual qualities in the language and drawing from Critical Disability Studies and neurophenomenology.
