Project description
In the present project, the first objective was to isolate shrimp non-adherent, lymphocyte-like haemocytes in a fast and efficient way and to identify the expression of the cytotoxic molecules torso-like protein (perforin) and granzyme B and G in these non-adherent haemocytes. This work has almost been completed. Finally, we want to demonstrate for the first time an antiviral activity of non-adherent, lymphocyte-like haemocytes in invertebrates.
