Project description

Since olefin metathesis allows straightforward alkene coupling, its importance in synthesis is enormous. Current state-of-the-art catalysts require the use of hazardous diazoalkanes, obstructing their upscaling. Herein, novel indenylidene ruthenium complexes will provide game-changing opportunities associated with their less hazardous, diazoalkene-free, catalyst synthesis and
outstanding catalytic activity. The project aims to design fast initiating, easy-to-access high performance catalysts.
