Project description
My main research project aims to unravel the role of the early phenylpropanoid genes AtPAL1 and 2 during embryogenesis. The double mutant shows aberrant embryo, seed, and seedling phenotypes. As these novel observations could indicate a role of the genes in primary developmental beside their well described role in secondary growth, they are further investigated.
