Project description

The agricultural sector currently makes limited use of biological crop protection products. Despite their good efficacy in the laboratory, their performance in the field is often disappointing. Knowledge of biological disease control is also not yet widespread among farms, nor is research advanced.

Role of Ghent University
The main activities of the Laboratory for Phytopathology of the Crop Protection department of Ghent University are to contribute to the preparation of an overview of existing products, microorganisms and molecules and to carry out tests with innovative biological crop protection products.
