UGent research groups COMOC and SSG have a long-term collaboration for the development of a new stationary phase for chromatography. A new organosilicap precursor has been developed and octopus protection has been requested. The objective of this StarTT project proposal is to develop a new synthetic procedure that yields particles with the desired pore size and microporosity. With regard to exploitation, the team will strive to set up a collaboration with one of the 4 most important manufacturers of columns. This will probably imply the granting of an exclusive license.
