Project description

The main objective of the proposed PhD project is to evaluate and improve the capability of current CFD method in predicting flame spread behaviour of the high-rise building fires. This can be done by decomposing the issue into four main steps to be studied sequentially. These steps are

  1. Under-ventilated enclosure fire
  2. Façade fire ejected from enclosure
  3. Flame spread and pyrolysis
  4. Combustible façade fire
