Project description

The Project aims to establish a physically substantiated calculation and validate the shear strength of prestressed precast concrete beams in which the traditional stirrup reinforcement is completely replaced by steel fibers. This calculation should lead to an analytical design model (the '' engineering model '') in line with the draft recommendations of the new Model Code and Eurocode 2, and then the implementation of precast prestressed girders of steel fiber reinforced concrete in the building industry.
