This project updates the research project "The Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare of Flanders, 1990-2011" (MIRA / 2013/04 - Bleys, 2013). The original time series is extended from the previous study (1990-2011) until 2012. The updated research report analyzed the new time series for the Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare (ISEW) for Flanders and interpreted on the basis of the variation in the underlying data (the components). It examines whether the financial and economic crisis affecting Flanders, has a negative impact on the sustained economic prosperity in the region.
