Project description

This project investigates the impact of social media on public debate during elections by examining (1) how political elites use social media for online election campaigning; (2) how social media affect the communication flows and (power) relationships between politicians, journalists and citizens and (3) how social media influence the traditional news media agenda, and vice versa.
