Project description

This interdisciplinary research project focuses on the bacterial type 2 secretion system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic gram-negative pathogen. This secretion system (the "Xcp-machinery") has two key components: XcpP and XcpQ, which interact with each other. With this research we aim to perform structural, biochemical and biofysical studies to elucidate the architecture and interactions of XcpP and XcpQ.
