Project description
Many developing countries, including Ethiopia, face challenges in sustainably managing water resources due to limited comprehensive assessments. This study in the Gilgel Gibe and Upper Dhidhessa catchments applies hydrogeological, hydrogeochemical, isotopic and modeling techniques, to characterize aquifers and evaluate recharge-discharge systems, offering insights for the sustainable and efficient management of groundwater.
