Project description

In this PhD thesis the fluid-structure interaction of a flexible thread in an air jet as it occurs in air-jet weaving looms will be studied numerically. A methodology with two-way coupling between flow simulations and structural simulations will be developed that allows the study of the dynamics and the stability of the thread motion during insert.
