Project description
This project offers a reading of the Testament Rhetoricael [Rhetorical Testament] (1562) of the Bruges poet and playwright Eduard de Dene (1505- between 1576 and 1579) as a representation of its author’s individuality and ‘selfhood’. It will do this by confronting the collection to a number of theories about the ‘self’.
