Project description

IRE-1 is an isoform of the unfolded protein response (UPR) sensor IRE-1, with a restricted expression to gut and lungepithelia. Few specific functions have been described for IRE-1, although a role in mucin production has been established. This project focusses on a detailed reconstruction of IRE-1 signaling, using endogenous tagging and protein interaction studies.
