Project description

Dramatic amphibian declines are partially caused by the fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis. Virtually nothing is known concerning the pathogenesis of the disease, chytridiomycosis. During this project, the virulence mechanisms used by the fungus to cause disease in amphibians will be examined.
