Project description

Modelling electromechanical function of the heart is important for understanding the fundamental mechanisms of cardac arrhythmias as well as for improvement of clinical procedures.

Aim of this project is development of electromechanical model of the human heart by combining: (1) anatomy data from IMM+IIP (Russia), (2) contraction model developed at IIP and (3) mechanoelectrical computational framework of UGent.
