Project description

This project will investigate the role of the Hispano-American canon (with special reference to preboom writers (1940/1950) and boom writers (1960) ) in a representative sample of narrative prose from the Spanish-speaking Carribean, Argentina and Chile (Con Sur) between 1990-2010. A study of the tensions in both geographical areas, will yield insight into patterns of canon formation more generally.
