Project description

Bacterial vaginosis commonly alters the vaginal flora, hereby increasing the acquisition risk of several STIs. This relationship has not been demonstrated for HPV/cervical lesions. Furthermore, HPV type specific differences have never been analysed. The underlying mechanisms also remains to be elucidated and biochemical markers and proteomics of cervico vaginal lavage fluid will contribute to a better insight in this process.
