Project description

Navigating ships generate a specific pattern of bank-directed surface waves. Based on experimentally obtained measurement results the effect of this mechanical wave loading on a technical-ecological bank protection is quantified and extended and refined design rules for effective alternative bank protection on navigable non-tidal waterwats subject to heavy shipping traffic are put forward.
