Project description

This project aims at the development of analytical methods, mainly on the basis of laser ablation – ICP-mass spectrometry, for the quasi non-destructive elemental and isotopic analysis of archaeological materials (without preceding digestion). Prehistoric rock paintings, pre-Roman and medieval ceramics and Roman coins, all originating from Spain, serve as target artifacts. The interpretation of the results thus obtained will be carried out in cooperation with archaeologists.
