In order to improve lacustrine paleoseismic records, this research aims to model seismic site response in lake basins as a function of their sedimentary infill. While utilizing core samples and reflection-seismic data as model input, we will validate output against the imprint of historical earthquakes. This will enhance our understanding of paleoseismic records, and improve hazard assessments relying on them.
