Project description
Biorefinery technologies produce energy and value added products from organic material. Currently investments in these technologies are limited mostly to biotech and processing industries. This project evaluates the financial viability of implementing biorefinery technologies on farms, focusing on case studies with different biorefinery systems applied to Belgian dairy farms, producing energy and value added products (lactic acid, microalgae) from agro-residues.
