Project description

The involvement of ERAD in triterpene homeostasis will be examined in Medicago truncatula. Proteins steering ERAD will be identified by several complementary approaches, including interactomic and transcriptomic analysis of plants misexpressing ERAD or saponin synthesis genes. Next, reverse genetics will be applied to examine the involvement of the candidate proteins in ERAD, triterpene homeostasis, and plant metabolism and physiology.
