Project description

Transmission errors have a big impact on the visual quality of digitally coded video, which more and more becomes an important aspect by the growing deployment of error-prone networks (e.g., wireless networks). The goal of this research is to achieve an optimal use of tools for error resilience and concealment in the context of scalable video coding (SVC) based on previous work in the context of H.264/AVC.
