Project description

Thermographic cameras or infrared's are versatile and offer potential to evaluate the energy performance of buildings, but however interpretation of thermographic images is complex, and there is from the construction industry need concrete guidelines thermography reliable make evaluation tool. In this project practical guidelines, check lists, and a calculation tool are arranged with respect to environmental conditions (temperature, relative humidity, thermal inertia, ...), material properties (reflectance, emissivity) and calibration (reference temperature, effect irradiated ambient heat). In addition, a number of applications to be worked out on the basis of case studies, such as combination with pressurizatieproeven, measured on exterior joinery, and the detection of moisture problems. It is also onderozcht to what extent one (approximate) the U-value can be determined of a building component.
