Securities trading takes place not only on traditional stock exchanges but on all kinds of platforms.
Under EU regulation these different platforms are subject to different rules. Furthermore, the rise of
Financial Markets Infrastructure groups is ignored. Therefore, we will have a critical look at the EU
regulation of these various trading platforms and the FMI groups that operate them.
