Project description
This project examines the dynamics and impact of the neo-avant-garde in Flemish literary
periodicals of the postwar period (1949-1965). I employ discourse analysis of critical texts on poetic
innovation to trace key metaphors and discursive strategies regarding image building and
legitimation. This analysis is further elucidated through a dynamic network visualization of the
periodicals and published authors involved.
