Project description
This project aims to develop new methods for the characterisation of protein glycosylation patterns of serum proteins, and to apply these in clinical contexts. More specifically, sensitive and specific markers for liver cirrhosis and cancer are investigated, as is the influence of ageing on the glycosylation patterns of plasma hormones and hormone-binding proteins.
