Project description
Insects are, just like humans, exposed to electromagnetic fields generated for telecommunication. However, insects interact differently with these fields than we do. Mainly the the Aedes aegypti mosquito, a vector of diseases, is investigated in this research. Exposure experiments, paired with simulations, give us new insights in the interactions and the effects on the development of insects under electromagnetic exposure.
