Project description

Drivetrains are increasingly becoming more efficient, integrated and modular. This challenges the state of the art techniques in both loss measurement and modelling. The key innovation of CALORIL is to harness the superior loss measurement accuracy of a calorimeter by online iteration in a loop to resolve the following industrial needs in a time-effective manner: (1) efficient loss model calibration, including coupled subcomponents in integrated drivetrains, (2) quantification of average losses in dynamic loading, (3) optimization of drivetrain settings for minimum losses
