Project description

Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) is the preferred technique to elucidate the mechanism behind cell differentiation and totipotency by visualizing epigenetic and structural changes in the somatic nucleus during nuclear reprogramming. The more differentiated the donor cell, the more difficult nuclear reprogramming. To improve SCNT efficiency, undifferentiated and epigenetically modified mesenchymal stem cells will be evaluated as donor cells.
