Project description

Lysins are novel enzyme-based antibiotics with proven clinical potential. This project proposes a performant discovery and engineering platform for lysins using functional metagenomics, microfluidics and advanced protein engineering. This platform aims to fuel the (pre)clinical pipeline of lysins for new therapies against a diversity of pathogens and to establish lysins as a broad class of novel antibiotics.
