Project description

In human medicine, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases is often performed through minimally-invasive intracardiac procedures. In horses, however, these catheterisation procedures are barely developed because imaging modalities from human patients (fluoroscopy, CT-scan) cannot be applied in horses. This research project develops new, standardized, echography-guided catheterisation techniques for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases in horses.
